Typically, wireless RTLS transponders are placed in or attached to objects to make them visible by determining their location.

An RTLS or real-time location system is an autonomous, IoT-based network of connected devices that enables tracking and identification of objects. Simply speaking, a multitude of little tags are attached to equipment/vehicles/pallets/other items – or carried by employees (for example, embedded in staff access cards).

How does UWB RTLS work?

Anchors are electronic devices that detect the UWB pulses emitted by UWB Tags and then forward them to the location server for calculating tag positions. To cover an area with an indoor tracking system, a set of anchors needs to be installed above the area to create the location infrastructure.

Iiwari system data access and security

How can we securely access the data stored in your cloud infrastructure?

Data is accessed from a REST API which uses HTTPS connection. All requests are authenticated against a user account which limits user’s access to specific site(s) and operations. In case of standalone installation, you can configure your network to limit access to REST API.

 

What security measures are in place to protect the data from unauthorized access or breaches?

User permissions restrict access only to allowed sites and operations for the REST API. The system itself is guarded by a firewalled network configuration. All operations to the data are logged.

 

Do you offer encryption for data at rest and in transit?

Data is encrypted in transit, between gateway, cluster servers and clients. Data content itself is not encrypted.

 

What backup and disaster recovery procedures do you have in place to ensure data integrity?

We backup all critical data once a day to a different cloud service. The system and sites are continuously monitored.
